For Harry Ingram, the arm and hand movement are important elements, which are captured in his paintings. The use of bold and explosive color with broad, small brush strokes of paint swirl, curve and loop over the page into a consistent pattern fully covering the paper. Ingram's strokes of color continuously layer and overlap each other.

Sometimes Ingram integrates free-flowing alphabet letters, particularly the letters from his name "HARRY," among his random paint strokes. The "words" seem to take off into the wind of color.

Ingram was born on April 13, 1945 and is the second of five siblings. He has attended NIAD since 1984. He lives with his parents in Richmond, CA and enjoys family vacations at Clear Lake, CA.
